RAAM Ride Across America Bike Race
Jenny and Vicki are two friends from the UK (although Jenny is currently living in the US) who met over their love of adventure.
They are looking for two additions to their team, or able to join an existing/hopeful team of 4 who need two more riders. Mixed or female, of any age group 😊
We have begun to build a crew, but are also looking for additional willing crew keen to find a team 🤗
Jenny, 37 is an extreme endurance sports athlete, most of her experience is in ultramarathon and long distance skiing expeditions, including a 700m expedition to the South Pole. She’s no stranger to endurance races, but is fairly new to cycling. Jenny entered the Silk Road Mountain Race (bikepacking) in Kyrgyzstan this year but was out after a bad crash. She has unfinished business!
Vicki, 44 holds a World Record for her recent row across the Pacific Ocean, has run multiple marathons and undertaken shorter (200-400m) cycling events and has also completed an ultra marathon (250km) in the Arctic. She was one of the first females to reach the final stages of Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins.
RAAM is their next dream and they’d love to hear from you if you are, or know a suitable rider/s or crew!
They already have a coaching programme lined up which can be shared across the team.
They are no strangers to raising sponsorship so can bring contacts to an existing team or work with in-coming team mates to pool and leverage resources. Existing experience of RAAM and/or crewing would be desirable but not essential!
