Expedition French Guyana in the Amazonian forest

Join a TeamBelinda Kirk

I am planning to do a hiking / kayaking trip in the jungle of French Guyana. It should take around 20 days. The planned itinerary is shown on the picture: The first part consists of approx. 65km walking and then descending the river for about 135km using a pack raft. The plan is to start in Saül and end at the barrage de Petit Saut.

I am looking for 1-2 teammates, ideally with experience in kayaking / jungle expeditions. The expedition will explore untouched jungles and paddle through the labyrinth of rivers to visit some of the most remote places in the Amazonian jungle. The expedition will be fully self-sufficient with all camping gear, food etc to be carried in individual kayaks.

I would also like to film the expedition so someone with filmmaking skills would be a benefit. Alternative skill set which could benefit the expedition would be experienced expedition kayaker or someone with medical skills.

The rough month is September / October 2025.

This is a non-commercial adventure.

If interested, please send me an email at iris3.2@gmx.de describing your experience and availability.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
