I am planning to do a self-organised unsupported crossing of the Arctic Circle Trail (ACT) in February 2021 by ski and I am searching for a partner (male/female) to join me. It is a first time expedition of smaller scale. I am looking for a partner for whom it is also a first time expedition, but with similar dedication and aspiration in polar travel.
Please be aware that this tour is not in any way comparable with the ACT in summer. February will be even harsher than March and April, when most winter crossings happen. Temperatures can reach easily -30°C plus windchill. I still consider this a relatively safe expedition. Emergency huts are on the route.
Cost will be shared, they are estimated at 1500€ p.p. plus equipment.
